1st day:
Arrival in the world famous Zermatt by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. This alpine resort is a world without cars. Electric-taxis and horse-drawn sleighs and carriages are the only transport allowed. Overnight in Zermatt.
2nd day:
Zermatt is surrounded by 38 four thousand metre high mountains. Explore the town at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn or perhaps enjoy one of our optional excursions to the Gornergrat, Matterhorn Glacier Paradise or Rothorn. Overnight in Zermatt.
3rd day:
Today you board the Glacier Express Premium (9.00am) for your three hour train journey from Zermatt to Andermatt. Travel in comfort through the unspoilt natural beauty of a landscape rich in ancient, fragrant mountain forests, peaceful Alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys, soaked in tradition and centuriesold culture. Change trains in Andermatt and Goschenen enroute to the lakeside city of Lucerne (2.38pm). Overnight in Lucerne.
4th day:
Time at leisure in Lucerne. Due to its central location right on Lake Lucerne and amid the surrounding mountains such as impressive Mount Pilatus, Mt Rigi, or Mt Titlis at 3020m high, Lucerne is considered to be the "Switzerland within Switzerland". We recommend you explore one of these mountains on one of our available excursions. Overnight in Lucerne.
5th day:
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.
